I am an enthusiastic and accomplished goalkeeper and all round sportsman.
I was fortunate enough to be scouted at the age of 10 to become a player at Leyton Orient Centre of Excellence and I remained with them until the age of 16. Unfortunately I was not offered a scholarship with the club owing to my height, but I wanted to prove them wrong and show I was capable of playing senior football.
After trialling with Wycombe Wanderers and Cambridge United, I was referred to Ryman League club, Brentwood Town. In September 2010 I signed 1st team contracts for the club, making my debut against Wingate and Finchley FC. Having spent last season with Kelvedon Hatch FC in the Essex Olympian League and started this season with Brentwood again, I'm now signed to Barkingside FC for the rest of 2013/14.
I have also played for a number of other clubs at senior level and was the first choice goalkeeper for the Essex FA U18’s squad, winning the FA County Youth Cup in April 2012 for the first time in 62 years!
As well as being a player, I also have a strong passion for coaching. I am currently the owner of the Tim Pitman Goalkeeping School and provide private goalkeeping coaching to U8 - U15 players in the local area. The School is affiliated with Young Stoppers Goalkeeping Academy run by Paul Tighe and Jerome John who are both current Goalkeeping Coaches at West Ham United. The coaching school was featured in an article that appeared in the business pages of the Brentwood Gazette as an excellent example of young entrepreneurialism.
